Saltatempo

Specifications: volume in 2001, less than 300 pages in length. Fast story to read.

Plot: Saltatempo is a guy who lives in the 50's. His real name is Mock (among other things, the nickname Benni is "wolf", thus slightly autobiographical ...) that takes this strange nickname after his chance encounter with God, who gives him the power to go ahead over time thanks to a "orobilogio" mental. Since then it Saltatempo "island" is often the situation, noting that the future of his mountain village, its people, its friends, discovering things about himself ... more or less positive.
Its history is intertwined all'orobilogio a student grappling with the high school, the university, with its membership in the Communist thinking, with their own personal growth and the first experiences with the opposite sex.

Comment: the book runs off like a dream, the pieces that speak of his village and the people who live there are fantastic and the pace of the writing is insistent: rhythms tall, extremely funny moments and a few dead spots (in fact, almost none). Fabulous points with the descriptions of his fellow villagers, who almost think you have met them seriously. In many ways carefree, in others it is a link to our youth, the time of the middle and high school life that some staff have all done our country. The closure is an elusive mix of dreamy, impersonal and a bit nostalgic. In essence, 300 pages worth every time you spend.

Specifications: Novel dated 2007 by Isamu Fukui (17 year old student). Length: less than 400 pages.

Edition recommended and cost: Mondadori, 16.50 Euros.

Plot: In a City the next few centuries, students must deal with a company, especially an education system that puts them back to the wall every day. Oppression on the part of teachers (Educator) and stewards / police (Enforcer) which together humiliate, punish, restrict school children. The spirit seems to lead to hard training and discipline, but in reality is pure mind control and strength.
Some students rebelled and formed the Truancy, an association outlaws comprised entirely of guys for a long time and undermine society, kill and destroy Enforcer key points of the system. Tuck takes center stage, initially against his will finds himself enlisted in the Truancy, and for the duration of the novel we see through his eyes and his feelings what it's like a school of oppression, anger and rebellion.

Comment: In itself, the novel has little to say in some places it is too simple and the plot is sometimes predictable. But it must be acknowledged to the author (sedicenne!!) Have written a fair bit of fantasy as a student and very smooth, almost never, in fact, one is to lag in reading, indeed.
The fact remains that the protagonist is marked bad, some points of evolution of his thinking and his character vary too quickly, giving the feeling of falling behind the growth of the character, leaving a feeling of pressing too far-fetched.
Prediamolo to digress and that is 400 pages of reading a story fairly so-so. Nothing more.
